-Provide legal counselling to internal stakeholders, facilitating effective implementation of business decisions without risking the company's reputation. -Ensuring additional necessary local controls are designed, implemented and executed to adhere to local legal regulations. -Responsible for communicating, implementing and ensuring adherence to global guidelines on legal issues and supporting the competition and compliance teams as needed. -Communicate and assess contractual liabilities and risks across the business within the cluster, with primary focus – but not limited to corporate, Commercial and Maritime. -Coordinate the pool of external lawyers ensuring our business enjoys full legal coverage in all areas such as commercial, maritime, corporate and criminal. -Perform/ oversee company secretarial functions; -Advisory function to both the Area Managing Director and Leadership Team. -Sign-off on internal policies applicable to Maersk Line in the MIC Area. -Assist in dealing and handling all requirements from government agencies and authorities.
